How to Replace Your pureAir 501 Filter

  1. Turn the pureAir 501 OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  2. Press the release tab to remove the bottom filter cover.
  3. Remove the expired filter cartridge from the unit.
  4. Using compressed air, blow out any accumulated dust or debris inside the interior housing.
    Warning: Do not use water or liquid cleaners on any part of the unit or filter.
  5. Insert the new replacement filter with the circular mesh side facing outward.
  6. Reattach and secure the filter cover.
  7. Plug the unit back in and resume normal operation.

Recommended Replacement Schedule: Replace every 12 months, or more frequently in environments with heavy smoke, pets, or high pollutant levels.

⚠️ Compatibility Notice: This filter (SKU: 1X6586) is designed exclusively for the pureAir 501 air purifier. It is not compatible with the pureAir 500 (discontinued). The pureAir 501 and pureAir 500 use different filter sizes — please verify your unit model before purchasing. Replacement filters for the pureAir 500 will be available separately.
